Born in the clay-limestone soils of southern Champagne, Ferme de Fontenay is a farm owned by the VAJOU family for over four generations.
70% of farmland is cultivated in Champagne-Ardenne and 30% in Ile-de-France. Relying on its own production (50%) and the expertise of 25 partner producers, Ferme de Fontenay does its utmost to offer top-quality onions, shallots, shallions and garlic to its supermarket and catering customers.
It is one of France's leading condiment manufacturers, selling almost 10% of French production on the fresh market.

L’aventure familiale commence !
Tout commence en 1924. Marcel ADAM s’installe sur la Ferme de Fontenay, face à l’Eglise de Fontenay-de-Bossery. Il cultive principalement des céréales. C’est le début de la FERME DE FONTENAY ! Son gendre, Jean VAJOU reprend l’exploitation en 1960 et diversifie l’exploitation céréalière avec de la betterave sucrière. Ses fils Jacques et Francis rejoigne l’exploitation en 1970 puis Pascal en 1984.
C’est le début de l’aventure familiale !
